I went the other day to have my bridesmaids dress fitted. I don’t think I’ve had my measurements taken. I thought it was neat and I wanted to get it down before these numbers left my head.
My numbers:
- Bust 33 1/2″
- Waist 27 1/2″
- Hip 37″
When I went initially to buy my dress I was given the size 4 to try. It fit but it was a little loose around my hips and since it’s strapless, and I’m not huge up top I knew once the dress came in I would need to get it altered. I got the call that my dress had arrived so I scheduled the appointment to have a fitting for alternations. I went to put the dress on the other day and they almost couldn’t zip it up? I was confused. The dress I was putting on was a 4. So why does this 4 fit better than the other sample 4 I tried on a few weeks back? The only thing I can think of is because it was a sample and had been tried on many times it has stretched. So now all I have to get done is the hem, even with my 4″ shoes I need it taken up, a lot.
The photo sucks but here’s the dress. Beautiful midnight blue Vera Wang Satin Dress with Grosgrain Sash, my cousin bought us all pretty brooches to adorn the otherwise boring sash. You can see my fancy silver shoes, but they are there.
I’m looking forward to heading up north with my hubby next moth for a fall wedding in the woods of Pennsylvania.
Next I want to be properly measured and fitted for a bra.
